MUSIC IS MISSTEP (2003)

Eventually, it becomes impossible to keep doing the same sort of things over and over. Becoming bored (already) with electronic music, and the lack of improvisational ability it gives one, I started concentrating on actually writing music. On writing good songs. The result is this album. In one sense, it’s very much a misstep, walking off path at points and then coming back onto it. In a lot of ways, I think it’s a more full realization of musical ideas than I’d been able to complete up until this point. At the same time, it lacks the passion of some of my other efforts at times. The pieces themselves are definitely more structured than its two predecessors.
